SciatiEase Side Effects, Interactions and Safety

Quick answer

SciatiEase side effects have never been measured in a study of the product, so the evidence comes from its ingredients. Those point to mostly mild effects: stomach upset, nausea, drowsiness and bright yellow urine. The one to watch is vitamin B6, 20 mg per 4 capsules, above Europe's 12 mg adult limit. Feverfew, passionflower and alpha-lipoic acid can interact with medicines.

The short version01

Does SciatiEase have side effects?

SciatiEase can have side effects, and the ones reported for its ingredients are mostly mild. Stomach upset, nausea and drowsiness lead the list.

What is not known matters as much. No one has published a safety study of the formula, so the side effects of taking SciatiEase pills are inferred from each ingredient, as with most nerve supplement side effects.

The warning panel is not in the images we have; follow the bottle you receive.

Supplement side effects reported for each SciatiEase ingredient, with the amount per 4 capsules. Reports come from ingredient studies, not from SciatiEase.
IngredientPer 4 capsulesReported side effects
PEA500 mgNo dropouts from side effects in the sciatica trial; side effects poorly tracked overall (Keppel Hesselink, J Pain Res 2015) (Artukoglu et al., Pain Physician 2017)
R-alpha lipoic acid250 mgNausea, vomiting, indigestion, low blood sugar (MSKCC, Alpha-lipoic acid)
Acetyl-L-carnitine250 mgAt about 3 g: nausea, cramps, diarrhea, fishy odor (NIH ODS, Carnitine)
Benfotiamine200 mgWell tolerated at 300-600 mg a day (BENDIP trial, benfotiamine 2008)
Vitamin B225 mgBright yellow urine, harmless (NIH ODS, Riboflavin)
Vitamin B620 mgLong-term high doses: numbness, tingling, poor balance (StatPearls, Vitamin B6 Toxicity)
FeverfewUp to 50 mgNausea, digestive upset, mouth soreness, slower clotting (NCCIH, Feverfew)
PassionflowerUp to 25 mgDrowsiness, dizziness, confusion (NCCIH, Passionflower)
Chinese skullcapUp to 16.7 mgRare liver injury with skullcap products (LiverTox, Skullcap)

Herb amounts are upper limits from the blend order. See the full SciatiEase ingredients list.

Stomach and bowels02

Can SciatiEase cause diarrhea or constipation?

SciatiEase could cause diarrhea in some people, but constipation is not a known effect of any ingredient. Neither has been studied in the product itself.

Diarrhea is listed for carnitine at about 3 g a day (NIH ODS, Carnitine). Four capsules hold 250 mg, about a twelfth of that. Feverfew and alpha-lipoic acid can upset digestion too (NCCIH, Feverfew) (MSKCC, Alpha-lipoic acid).

None of our sources lists constipation for these ingredients. If it starts, look at water, fiber, less walking and pain medicines first.

Weight and pressure03

Does SciatiEase cause weight gain or raise blood pressure?

No ingredient in SciatiEase is known to cause weight gain or raise blood pressure. That is an absence of reports, not proof, since no one has tested the formula for either.

The panel lists no calories or sugars, so the capsules add nothing meaningful to your diet.

Weight gain

Not listed for PEA, R-ALA, ALCAR, benfotiamine, the B vitamins or the herbs in our sources. If you gain weight, look at activity first.

Blood pressure

No source reports a rise. Carnitine can become TMAO in the gut, which is linked to heart risk; what that means is still unclear (NIH ODS, Carnitine).

Vitamin B604

Is the vitamin B6 in SciatiEase safe?

The 20 mg of vitamin B6 in SciatiEase is legal and under the U.S. limit, but it sits above Europe's. For a nerve product, that is the honest center of the safety story.

Too much B6 over months can cause the very thing buyers want to ease: numbness and tingling in the hands and feet. It usually improves after stopping (StatPearls, Vitamin B6 Toxicity). Reports exist below 500 mg a day (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6).

Australia requires a warning on products above 10 mg a day and says risk cannot be ruled out below 50 mg (TGA, Vitamin B6 rescheduling).

If tingling, burning or numbness gets worse after you start, stop the capsules and call your doctor. Check other products for B6 too.

Interactions05

Is SciatiEase safe to take with other medicines?

SciatiEase is safe to take with many medicines, but a few pairings need a doctor's or pharmacist's check first. The official site also suggests 30 minutes between it and any prescription (SciatiEase official site).

Bring the bottle, or a photo of the panel, to the pharmacy counter.

Keep taking prescribed medicine

A side effect worry is never a reason to skip a prescribed dose on your own. Call the prescriber, and stop the supplement instead if you need to stop something. Full pairings are on nerve supplements and medicines.

Who should not06

Is SciatiEase safe to use in pregnancy, before surgery or with liver disease?

SciatiEase is not safe to use in pregnancy, and it needs a pause before surgery and a doctor's say with liver disease. Each warning traces to one herb.

Feverfew and passionflower should not be used in pregnancy (NCCIH, Feverfew) (NCCIH, Passionflower). Feverfew should stop at least 2 weeks before surgery. Skullcap has been tied to rare liver injury, though the Chinese species looks less clear (LiverTox, Skullcap).

Keep the bottle away from children: young children who swallowed alpha-lipoic acid have had seizures (MSKCC, Alpha-lipoic acid). Who else should pause is on who SciatiEase is for.

Reports07

What do SciatiEase side effects reviews say?

There are no verified SciatiEase side effects reviews yet, so we cannot report what buyers felt. We publish none until a review is matched to a real order.

If you have a reaction, tell your doctor, then the order desk at +1 (844) 361-1273. You can also file a report with the FDA's Safety Reporting Portal, which accepts reports from anyone (FDA, Q&A on Dietary Supplements).

When to act08

When should a side effect or symptom send you to a doctor?

See a doctor for any side effect that lasts, worsens or worries you; get emergency care for the signs below. Some leg symptoms are not side effects but urgent nerve signs.

Stop the capsules and call if you notice new or spreading numbness, yellow skin or eyes, dark urine, or unusual bruising.

  1. Bladder or bowel changesCannot pass urine, or leaking urine or stool
  2. Saddle numbnessNumb groin, inner thighs or buttocks
  3. Leg weakness getting worseFoot drop, stumbling, a leg giving way
  4. Both legsPain or numbness in both legs at once
  5. After a fall or with feverPain after an injury, or with fever or weight loss

See a doctorLeg pain that lasts more than a few weeks, keeps you from sleeping or working, or keeps coming back deserves an exam. A supplement should not delay it.

Go nowLoss of bladder or bowel control or numbness between the legs can mean cauda equina syndrome, an emergency. Call 911 or go to an emergency room.

FAQ09

Questions about SciatiEase safety

Can SciatiEase upset your stomach?

It can. Alpha-lipoic acid may cause nausea or indigestion (MSKCC, Alpha-lipoic acid), and feverfew can upset digestion (NCCIH, Feverfew). Taking the capsules with breakfast and dinner, as the sales page suggests, may help. If upset lasts more than a few days, stop and talk to your doctor.

Does SciatiEase turn your urine yellow?

It may turn urine bright yellow, and that is harmless. Four capsules hold 25 mg of vitamin B2, riboflavin, and extra riboflavin leaves the body in urine (NIH ODS, Riboflavin). The color fades within hours of a dose and is not a sign of a problem.

Can SciatiEase make you sleepy?

It might, a little. Passionflower, the second herb in the 50 mg blend, can cause drowsiness or dizziness (NCCIH, Passionflower). The amount is at most 25 mg per 4 capsules. Be careful driving until you know how you react, especially with gabapentin or a sleep aid.

Can SciatiEase lower blood sugar?

It may, mainly in people on diabetes medicine. Alpha-lipoic acid has been linked to low blood sugar and can add to glucose-lowering drugs (MSKCC, Alpha-lipoic acid). Four capsules hold 250 mg. Check your sugar more often in the first weeks and tell your doctor.

Is SciatiEase safe for your liver?

For most people, probably, but skullcap products have been linked to rare liver injury (LiverTox, Skullcap). Chinese skullcap is at most 16.7 mg per 4 capsules. If you have liver disease or notice yellow eyes or dark urine, stop and see a doctor.

How do I report a side effect from SciatiEase?

Tell your doctor first, then call the SciatiEase order desk at +1 (844) 361-1273 with your order ID. Anyone can also report a supplement reaction to the FDA through its Safety Reporting Portal (FDA, Q&A on Dietary Supplements). Keep the bottle so the lot can be checked.

Can SciatiEase cause numbness or tingling?

It could, through vitamin B6. Long-term high B6 can cause numbness and tingling, and reports exist at lower doses than once thought (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6) (StatPearls, Vitamin B6 Toxicity). Four capsules hold 20 mg. If those feelings grow after you start, stop the capsules and call your doctor.

Is SciatiEase safe for long-term use?

Nobody knows, because the product has no long-term study. The main long-term question is vitamin B6 at 20 mg a day, above Europe's 12 mg limit (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6). Taking 2 capsules halves that. Review use with your doctor every few months.
