SciatiEase Ingredients: All 12 Label Lines, Doses and Evidence

Quick answer

SciatiEase ingredients are 12 label lines per 4-capsule serving: vitamins B2, B6, folate and B12, an AlphaPalm Blend of 500 mg PEA and 250 mg R-alpha lipoic acid, 250 mg acetyl-L-carnitine, 200 mg benfotiamine, and a 50 mg blend of feverfew, passionflower, Chinese skullcap and oat straw. Eight lines print an amount; the four herbs do not.

Active ingredients01

What are the active ingredients in SciatiEase?

The active ingredients in SciatiEase are PEA, R-alpha lipoic acid, acetyl-L-carnitine, benfotiamine, four B vitamins and four herbal extracts. That is what SciatiEase contains: 12 label lines, every amount given per 4 capsules.

PEA, short for palmitoylethanolamide, is a fat-based compound the body also makes. It is the one ingredient with a trial in people with sciatica (Keppel Hesselink, J Pain Res 2015).

The SciatiEase formula runs on four lines, like a small transit map.

01

B vitamin line

B2 25 mg, B6 20 mg, folate 500 mcg DFE and B12 1 mg, all in active coenzyme forms.

02

AlphaPalm line

A 750 mg blend that prints both parts: PEA 500 mg and R-alpha lipoic acid 250 mg.

03

Nerve nutrient line

Acetyl-L-carnitine 250 mg and benfotiamine 200 mg, a fat-soluble form of vitamin B1.

04

Herbal blend line

Feverfew, passionflower, Chinese skullcap and oat straw, each a 4:1 extract, 50 mg in total.

Full list02

What is the full SciatiEase ingredients list with doses?

The full SciatiEase ingredients list has 12 lines, shown below at 4 capsules and at 2 capsules. The 2-capsule column matters because the official site tells buyers to take 2 a day (SciatiEase official site).

At 2 capsules, every printed amount is cut in half. PEA drops from 500 mg to 250 mg, and benfotiamine drops from 200 mg to 100 mg.

All 12 lines of the SciatiEase Supplement Facts panel, in label order. The panel serving is 4 capsules; the 50 mg herbal blend lists its herbs from most to least by weight (eCFR, 21 CFR 101.36), so the herb in place k can hold at most 50/k mg.

Many SciatiEase ingredients reviews quote 500 mg of PEA without "per 4 capsules"; the table keeps both columns. The word-for-word panel is on the SciatiEase supplement facts page.

Vitamins03

Which vitamin ingredients are in SciatiEase?

SciatiEase has four vitamin ingredients: riboflavin-5-phosphate (B2), pyridoxal-5-phosphate (B6), methylfolate and methylcobalamin (B12).

These are forms the body uses directly, a fair point in the formula's favor. The amounts are high. One milligram of B12 is about 417 times the adult daily need of 2.4 mcg (NIH ODS, Vitamin B12). Extra B vitamins help nerves mostly when a person is low in them (Cochrane, Vitamin B for neuropathy).

SciatiEase vitamin amounts next to adult daily needs.
VitaminPer 4 capsulesPer 2 capsulesAdult daily need
B2 (riboflavin-5-phosphate)25 mg12.5 mg1.1-1.3 mg; no upper limit (NIH ODS, Riboflavin)
B6 (pyridoxal-5-phosphate)20 mg10 mg1.3-1.7 mg; US limit 100 mg, Europe 12 mg (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6)

B12 (methylcobalamin)1 mg500 mcg2.4 mcg; no upper limit (NIH ODS, Vitamin B12)
The B6 line deserves a second look

Twenty milligrams sits above the 12 mg adult limit Europe set in 2023. Long-term high B6 can cause numbness and tingling (StatPearls, Vitamin B6 Toxicity). If those feelings grow while you take it, stop and call your doctor.

Blend math04

What is in the SciatiEase proprietary blend?

The SciatiEase proprietary blend is 50 mg of four herbal extracts: feverfew, passionflower, Chinese skullcap and oat straw. The label gives the total, not the amount of each herb.

Federal rules allow that if the parts are listed from most to least by weight (eCFR, 21 CFR 101.36). So the second herb weighs at most half the blend, the third at most a third.

Blend math for 4 capsules. The real split is not published, so these are upper limits, plus what an even split would give.

2Passionflower extract 4:125 mg12.5 mg
3Chinese skullcap root extract 4:116.7 mg12.5 mg

Feverfew was studied for migraine (NCCIH, Feverfew) and passionflower for anxiety (NCCIH, Passionflower), not for sciatic nerve pain. Read more on the feverfew and passionflower page.

Other ingredients05

What is SciatiEase made of besides the active ingredients?

Besides the active ingredients, SciatiEase is made of a gelatin capsule, microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable stearate and silica. These four fill, coat and shape each capsule.

Cellulose is a plant-fiber filler; stearate and silica keep the powder flowing. Gelatin comes from animals, so the capsules are not vegetarian.

A gluten or allergen statement is not stated in the images we have. Ask the order desk.

Dose check06

Do the SciatiEase supplement ingredients match studied doses?

Only one SciatiEase supplement ingredient, PEA, matches a studied dose; the rest sit below what trials used. And PEA only matches at the full 4-capsule serving.

A sciatica trial gave 636 adults 300 or 600 mg of PEA a day for 3 weeks, and both doses beat placebo (Keppel Hesselink, J Pain Res 2015). That trial used micronized PEA, and the label does not say which form it uses.

Alpha-lipoic acid trials used 600 to 1,800 mg a day (Cochrane, Alpha-lipoic acid 2024), and acetyl-L-carnitine trials 1,500 to 3,000 mg (Cochrane, Acetyl-L-carnitine 2019). SciatiEase holds 250 mg of each.

The official site's comparison chart lists PEA 600 mg, R-ALA 300 mg and ALCAR 300 mg. The panel says 500, 250 and 250, and we follow the panel.

One worked example

Take 2 capsules a day, as the official site suggests. You get 250 mg of PEA, just under the 300 mg low dose in the sciatica trial. Take 4 and you get 500 mg, between the two trial doses.

Keep taking prescribed medicine on schedule. A supplement is not a reason to stop or change it. More detail sits on the PEA ingredient page.

FAQ07

SciatiEase ingredient questions

What are the active ingredients in SciatiEase?

SciatiEase lists PEA 500 mg, R-alpha lipoic acid 250 mg, acetyl-L-carnitine 250 mg, benfotiamine 200 mg, vitamins B2, B6, folate and B12, and a 50 mg blend of feverfew, passionflower, Chinese skullcap and oat straw. All amounts are per 4 capsules.

What is SciatiEase made of?

SciatiEase is made of 12 active label lines inside a gelatin capsule, with microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable stearate and silica as other ingredients. Because the shell is gelatin, the capsules are not vegetarian. No allergen statement appears in the images we have.

How much PEA is in SciatiEase?

SciatiEase holds 500 mg of palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) per 4 capsules, or 250 mg per 2 capsules. A sciatica trial used 300 or 600 mg a day (Keppel Hesselink, J Pain Res 2015), so only the full 4-capsule serving lands inside that range.

How much of each herb is in the SciatiEase proprietary blend?

The label does not say. The four herbs share 50 mg and are listed from most to least by weight, so feverfew holds at most 50 mg, passionflower 25 mg, skullcap 16.7 mg and oat straw 12.5 mg (eCFR, 21 CFR 101.36).

Why does the SciatiEase official site list different ingredient amounts?

Its comparison chart shows PEA 600 mg, R-ALA 300 mg and ALCAR 300 mg, while the Supplement Facts panel shows 500, 250 and 250 mg per 4 capsules. The label is the legal record of what is inside, so we follow it.

Which SciatiEase ingredient has the most research for sciatica?

PEA does. One trial in 636 adults with sciatica found 300 and 600 mg a day lowered pain scores more than placebo over 3 weeks (Keppel Hesselink, J Pain Res 2015). The other ingredients were studied mostly in diabetic nerve damage.
